J'ADORE IMMORAL PLEASURE SEEKERS!

No commentary necessary.

J'ADORE WTF?!?!

Our boy, Michael K., over at DLISTED! posted this hilarious COPS video today. Seriously. WTF?!?! We would love to excuse his beauty once we figure out where it is... J'ADORE!

J'ADORE FLASHBACKS!

We don't know how we came across this video. We were searching for Matthew Wilder's "Break My Stride", and this popped up! Do you bitches remember this shit from when you were a kid? We so wanted to be on KIDS Incorporated! We totally had the outfits for it for sure!

Our good friend from high school, Jeff, his older brother was Jerry Sharell on the show, and we're sure you can figure out that Marta Marrero is none other than the toy soldier falling Martika! We are so J'Adoring this right now!

UPDATE: We can't believe it didn't register earlier, but little Stacy Ferguson is none other that the big girl not cryin', Fergie! How could we have forgotten?!?!

J'ADORE CARTOON CANDY!

Style.com has just launched a new section called CandyCast which features their editor in chief, Candy Pratts Price, as an animated version of herself doling out fashion tips and trends to the fashion starved masses! Or in Candy's own words, it's "fashion as life".

Between you and us, sometimes we totally get overwhelmed by the frivolity and the superfluousness of this industry. We mean it's just fashion after all. But for some reason, we totally J'Adore CandyCast! It's new, fresh, fun and creative, and we'll always love us some Pratts Price.

We'd love to tell you the story of when we were with Candy up in Tom Ford's hotel room after the CFDAs in 2004, but I think if we divulged what happened in that room that night, we'd be silently slaughtered by the Conde Nast Militia. An intern will do ANYTHING to get ahead.

J'ADORE LIFE UNDER THE ANTARCTIC!

Time Magazine just posted the most J'Adorably unbelievable photo essay of Life Under The Antarctic! You must check it out! Our favorite is the photo of the sea of broken ice floes. J'Adore!

J'ADORE THE QUOTE OF THE DAY!

"Clarity can exist only when there is freedom to observe, when one is capable of looking, observing, watching. That is only possible when there is complete, total freedom, otherwise there is always distortion in our observation." - J. Krishnamurti

JE N'ADORE PAS!

We don't know what's going on anymore. Are we just really bitter as of late or can we just no longer tolerate the state of the world as we slowly start selling our souls to corporate America?

Gothamist is reporting today that the MTA is considering renting out NYC's subway system to Disney to do with it whatever they want. Paint it, plaster it with Disney ads, install lifesize Mickey Mice on the platforms???

We can't take it anymore!!! When is this sponsorship bullshit going to end?

This just really pisses us off. JE N'ADORE PAS!!!

J'ADORE ANDY GOLDSWORTHY!

One of our most J'Adored artists is the British sculptor, photographer and environmentalist, Andy Goldsworthy. His art involves the use of natural objects such as stones, sticks, twigs, leaves and trees in temporary and permanent installations which speak to the environment from which they came.

The beauty of his work lies in the ability to create, to mold and to extract from nature the colors, the textures and the materials that most others simply overlook in order to create a piece of art that not only belongs but blends back into its natural surroundings.

One of the most beautiful aspects of his works is the fragility and short life span of the pieces. Many times, Andy wanders off into the woods on his own and creates a work that no one will probably ever see. It stays there until a heavy rain, a gust of wind or a strong current destroys it....but all the while, the materials that comprised it belong. They were always a part of where they came. Their beauty glorified and put on a pedastal, if only for a short while.

The above video is a clip from Rivers & Tides, the must-see documentary made on Andy's work. We wanted to share it with you because not only do you get a sense of who this artist is, but at the very end, you understand the frail nature of his work and the materials he uses. J'Adore!

J'ADORE RICK & STEVE!

There's a new animated show on the Logo Network called Rick & Steve, and it's sort of funny if you're into gay lego dolls talking about sex and drugs while totally upholding and mocking gay values.

We don't watch television, but we were able to catch a few clips of the show on YouTube, and the above is one of the funniest things ever. Chuck is an old man dying of AIDS and confined to a wheelchair, and Evan is his 19 year old twink boyfriend who just doesn't have a clue. Watch the clip for ensuing hilarity...

J'ADORE TOTAL CONFUSION!

Breitbart is now reporting that the Indonesian VP, Yusuf Kalla, is suggesting allowing the use of marijuana as a cooking spice for seasoning curries. This is a country that executes drug traffickers and that wants to monitor people with HIV (see below). WTF Indonesia?!?! Make up your mind!!! Do you want to get high or do you want to violate human rights? What's the priority here???

JE N'ADORE PAS!

Breitbart is reporting today that the government of Indonesia's Papua is considering monitoring HIV+ citizens via microchip implants in a bid to keep them from infecting other unsuspecting victims. They seem to believe that newly seroconverted people experience some sort of aggression which leads them to not care about the infection of future partners.

Not only is this monitoring an obscene violation of one's very basic human rights, it's a catastrophic endeavor that will only lead to further violation. What are they going to do once this monitoring does confirm aggressive behavior? How will people be reprimanded? What new laws will have to be instituted to fairly try those in violation?

The answer here is not found in monitoring the sick but in educating the healthy. Once we focus our energies on teaching the importance of condom use and safe sex practices, there will be no need for this grossly unjust monitoring.

Okay. We're getting off the soap box.

J'ADORE THE QUOTE OF THE DAY!

"I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day."
- Dean Martin

J'ADORE WTF?!?!

OMG!!! We know most of you have already seen this video of the Philippino prisoner's verion of Thriller because Gawker posted it last Friday, but we had to share it with the rest of you. WTF?!?! WTF?!?! WTF?!?! We're sorry, but we just can't get over it! Watching this video brings up soooooo many questions like Who's idea was this? or Who took it upon themselves to organize it? or What the hell do the Philippino tax payers think? or Who was in charge of casting and auditions? or How many of these inmates have fucked that little queen that plays Michael Jackson's girlfriend???

We just can't. We can't even try to wrap our heads around this one to continue writing. We're going to bed only to try to forget we ever saw this J'Adorably genius footage of music video.

J'ADORE THE ALCHEMIST!

After a lazy brunch this past Sunday with two of our most favorite ladies, Monica Thompson and Mary Pat Thibodeau, we swung by Barnes & Noble so that Monica could pick up the latest Harry Potter. Je N'Adore Pas, but we digress...

Monica suggested that we read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Although we had heard of the book, we didn't know much about it. When we were told that it was about a Spanish boy in search of a treasure hidden near the Great Pyramids of Egypt, we J'Adored all over ourselves. You know how much we love all things Egypt. Actually, you probably didn't know that because we've never mentioned it to you before, but once again, we digress...

Anyway, we just finished this phenomenal book. It's about the life long quest that each and every one of us faces while searching for our own Personal Legend, or meaning in life. It's about the challenges we face, the courage we all possess and most importantly, the understanding to know that we are the one true source of our own destiny and eternal happiness.

This book comes at a very important time for us, having just left our jobs and trying to find our place in the hysterical glamour that is our life and all. It has inspired us to make the most of what we've got and who we are, and..... EEEEEW! We are about to give ourselves a big Je N'Adore Pas if we don't stop being so sappy right now!

J'ADORE FANATIC VI!

We cannot even find the words to tell you how much fun we had on Saturday afternoon. The J'Adorable kids over at Y-3 invited us to join them for Adidas' annual Fanatic Soccer Tournament on the rooftop of Pier 40. Imagine 24 teams in 4 divisions competing all day long for the championship while the most GORGEOUS of NYC's downtown scene were enjoying BBQ, Sapporo beer and the musical stylings of DJs Armstrong and Anton! It was MAJOR!

This was the scene of the competition. How better to watch these J'Adorable players battle it out than in front of the backdrop of downtown Manhattan?

Abby Gardner, Robyn Ward and Stephanie Rudnick picked up this hot young thing of a soccer fan with whom they spent their day drinking and watching oversized legs kick balls to and fro!

DJ Anton working his magic....unfortunately, it wasn't on the turntables, as you can see!

The kids on the roof at Pier 40!

Emilia Menocal conveniently didn't return our email on Saturday morning asking her what she was up to that day. She clearly didn't know we would totally BUST her later when we spotted her with the impeccable Jauretsi Saizarbitoria!

Our gorgeous friend and Adidas hostess for the day, Theodora Sopko, picked up her very own soccer player, Simonez, to take home with her. J'Adore!

Let's talk about this one for a second. Her name is Hillary, and she was ROCKING the field like we've never seen!!! She had all the other male players bum rushing her trying to prevent her from making yet ANOTHER goal! She got slammed in the eye with the ball and STILL was able to make the point!

We hadn't seen our supermodel friend, Jenny Wong, since we last ran into her at the Christian Dior Cruise 2007/8 show this past May. Her main man, Henri, was on the field, so we don't know why it was US she was screaming at!?

Serge Becker was working his trompe l'oeil guayabera while our J'Adorable partner in crime, Claire Darrow, was staring us down and thinking dirty thoughts. She always undresses us with her eyes, and it sort of freaks us out.

Ummmm, J'Adore Soccer...

Our most favorite style maven and downtown fashion fixture, Glenmore May, had no business being at the tournament except for this one moment where he was able to turn and pose for the camera, which between you and us, is a talent to which we should all aspire!

We know why the caged soccer boy sings. Do you?

Who the hell knew our favorite rocker friend, Rory Guinness, played soccer? We surely didn't!

Fashion designer extraordinaire, Benjamin Cho, sips on a beer to cool himself down even though you know he would never serve it backstage at one of his shows! God forbid one of his models gain an ounce before show time!

We snapped this pic of the J'Adoreliciously pint-sized shutterbug, Greg Kessler, just so that he would know what it felt like!

Ummmmm, still J'Adoring soccer...

Clearly, it's not her neck that Emilia Menocal wants kissed... Dirrrrrrty!

We were so beyond ourselves when we saw our long lost friend, Saidah, formerly of APT fame! If you don't know how this one plays, you best try NOT to find out. She leaves no survivors.

Unfortunately, our day came to a tragic close when we came across this thing standing outside The Maritime Hotel. Honestly....WTF?!?! Is he for real with that t-shirt and bare midriff??? Our best guess is that he escaped from Bellevue.

J'ADORE THE SAD HATTER!

We were saddened when we had heard the news of Ms. Isabella Blow's suicide not too long ago. It came on the night of the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute Ball. But really, if you had ever met Issie, you would know that she didn't take her own life on the same night as the ball on accident. What better way to go than to have hundreds of your friends all in one room talking about you! J'Adore!

Although we didn't know her well at all, we did get the chance to meet her when we went to Istanbul with Zac Posen. At Saturday night's black tie dinner, Issie was wearing a hat that extended about two feet off of her head to the left. We took great pleasure in watching the hotness that is Christopher Brooks duck every time she turned her head to speak to him. So J'Adorable!

Anyway, New York Magazine this week published this amazing feature on Isabella Blow which is a must read. Her life, her love, her style and most importantly, her contribution to the industry are chronicled for our J'Adoration! May you rest in peace.

J'ADORE BREAKING NEWS!

We just received a BREAKING NEWS email from MSNBC stating that President Bush is going to have a colonoscopy!!! That is so genius! Why does the world need to know that some doctor is going to have to stick a camera up the President's ass?!?!

The only question we have is how are they going to get the camera up there with the President's big ol' head in the way?! hahahahahahha J'ADORE!

J'ADORE NAOMI CAMPBELL!

Naomi Campbell is a crazy bitch. We all know this. She screams. She yells. She beats down assistants. She throws her cell phone at people just passing her by. She onced screamed at us at Yohji Yamamoto's Y-3 show saying that if the show didn't start on time, she would get up and leave. We were like "Leave then, Bitch! Who really cares?"

Anyway, we're glad to see that she is able to take her atrocious behavior and poke fun at herself as seen in the above Dunkin' Donuts commercial directed by Zach Braff. We were totally expecting it to be a little more on the crazy ass Naomi side, but we guess this is funny for the time being.

J'ADORE WTF?!?!

You know we love us some Radar Magazine, but today's online feature was WRONG EXIT: The 100 Worst Places to Die! WTF?!?! You bitches need to read this shit!

But we're J'Adoring Radar for the above photo of John Stossel. Who knew he had a body like that?!

J'ADORE SOME ECARDS!

Sometime circa 1995, we received a Christmas card from our best friend that simply stated "I Hope You're Lonely This Holiday Season!". Obviously, we J'Adored it majorly as it was the perfect change from all the crappy Christmas cards one normally receives.

Ever since then, we've been looking for greeting cards to rival that one we received, and we're happy to say that the search is finally over. We would like to introduce you to Some Ecards!

Granted, the cards are only available in digital format, but they convey the heartfelt messages we've been longing for over the past 12 years! So get to sending them ASAP! Tell all your friends how much you sort of appreciate them!

J'ADORE JON LOVITZ!

Okay, bitches! The moment the world has been patiently waiting for finally arrived last week at an LA comedy club. Apparently, Jon Lovitz grabbed flaming cokehead, Andy Dick, by the head and smashed his face into the bar four or five times leaving him with a bloody nose unsuitable for snorting his much loved Colombian Marching Powder!

All the crazy details of the beat down can be found here. Let's all give Mr. Lovitz a big round of J'Adorable applause for finally bringing us the closure for which we've all been looking.

J'ADORE MILORD!

Ever since we did the screening for PictureHouse's La Vie En Rose, we have been on an Edith Piaf kick! This weekend specifically, we couldn't get this song out of our heads, so we thought we'd share it with you!

J'ADORE THE QUOTE OF THE DAY!

"If you make people think they're thinking, they'll love you; But if you really make them think, they'll hate you." - Don Marquis

J'ADORE WTF?!?!

We at J'Adore Joey are introducing a new posting entitled "J'Adore WTF?!?!". These are things that we don't really J'Adore but we don't necessarily Je N'Adore Pas them either! We're just like WTF?!?!

Our first J'Adore WTF?!?! is dedicated to Lewis Pugh who, as of yesterday, was the first human being ever to swim in the waters of the North Pole! Again....WTF?!?!

Just a few seconds in the water would have garnered him the title (and probably killed any other mere mortal), but this crazy mother fucker swam in -34.25 degree waters for over 19 minutes!!!

We spent the weekend swimming in 70 degree waters out on Long Island, and our balls were snuggled tightly behind our eyeballs! We can't begin to comprehend the shrinkage poor Lewis had to experience!

Click here to read the full story and to see more photos of this icy nautical escapade!

JE N'ADORE PAS!

Oh, kids! You don't ever want to grow old. Not that we're THAT old, but this past weekend, we totally felt our age. While we were hanging out with our supermodel friends out in the country, we totally threw out our back. We couldn't walk for two days!!! It sucked big time. We're still not feeling totally 100%, but we're doing our best to recover so we can offer you all the J'Adorable things you deserve. Until we are able to stand upright again.....

J'ADORE INDEPENDENCE!

We're really not that big into the Fourth of July....or any other federal holiday for that matter, but we're a little bit bored, so we figured we'd wish you all a happy one.

Did you know that the Chinese invented fireworks just a little over 2,000 years ago?

J'ADORE 1983!

Ummm...we're really having a hard time trying to find the words, so we're just going to let you watch this and come up with your own conclusions. Whatever you do, don't miss the drummer in the foosball tank top. We mean, really...

J'ADORE EAVESDROPPING!

One of the things we J'ADORE about New York City is catching a little piece of a conversation from people passing you by. You're always like WTF?!?! It's pretty genius and wildly amusing.

That being said, one of our favorite blogs is Overheard In New York which chronicles these little snippets of every day life all in one place. It's pretty hysterical.....like the black guy that was caught yelling at a pigeon on 61st Street...."Bird! Don't think I won't come over there and fuck you up!"

J'ADORE BITTERSWEET!

Every now and then we come across something we've never seen before.....like this Madonna video. It's fairly interesting, but where did it come from?

J'ADORE CRIME FIGHTING!

So we totally had the scariest of experiences yesterday! We were walking along West 40th Street when this guy comes out of a parking lot right in front of us with his t-shirt popped up in the back and stuck in the back of his pants was a HANDGUN!!!

We were totally freaked out. At first, we thought he might be an undercover cop, but then we doubted it because he was totally wearing MANdals. Not a cute look for an undercover cop.

Anyway, we don't know what came over us, but we totally decided to follow him because we were right outside the port authority and we know that there are always cops hanging around.

We keep following this guy, and then we came across three cops playing with their cell phones. We let the guy with the gun get ahead a little so he doesn't hear us telling the cops about his hidden weapon. When we told the cops, they booked after the guy and arrested him right there on 8th Avenue!!!

We're not sure if we did the right thing or what, but we like to think that we saved a life that day. Who knows. All we DO know is that we had to drink a couple bottles of Rose at Bar Pitti for us to calm down.

J'ADORE WARMING UP!

One of our most favorite things to do in the summer is to go to Warm Up at P.S. 1...a live music and DJ series at MoMA's Long Island City locale. Taking place in the courtyard, the 6 hour dance fest is set against an architectural backdrop installed by the annual winner of the Young Architect's Program. This year's winner was Los Angeles based firm Ball-Nogues with their installation entitled Liquid Sky.

This Saturday we attended with the perennially luscious Mr. Scott Perry aka El Pulpo. Make sure you don't fall prey to his tentacles.

This bitch didn't need to warm up because she was already HOT HOT HOT!

We love when parents bring their children along to play, dance and meet the grown ups smoking weed in a corner.

This bitch was TOTALLY high, and she couldn't stop dancing. We were trying to get her to give us some of what she was on, but she just wasn't sharing.

The red mylar canopies are meant to immerse the viewer in kaleidoscopic patterns of colored light. They also shower down water every few minutes cooling down all the warmed up bodies. J'Adore!

We also ran into our old supermodel friend, Audrey Quock, and her Israeli boyfriend, Moti. She likes to call us Joey Bag O' Donuts. We're not sure why.

We ended our night on a rooftop in not-so-colonial Williamsburg. It was such a gorgeous night out. We wish you could have been with us to enjoy it.
