J'ADORE LA WINEHOUSE!

We owe Ms. Amy Winehouse a HUGE apology full of J'ADORATION!!! Over the past year, when we would see photos of her skanky ass looking all dirty rocker chick, we just gave her a big Je N'Adore Pas! and moved along on our J'Adorable way.

But it wasn't until a couple of weeks back when one of our closest friends, The Robynator, played La Winehouse for us at a Sunday brunch that we almost J'Adoreverdosed!

This bitch is out of control! We can't believe that voice comes out of a woman who looks like that! We know. We know. We shouldn't judge a book by its cover....blah blah blah.

Anyway...we just J'Adore her MAJOR!

J'ADORE BEING A TOYS R US KID!

We're in an incredibly good mood today! We've got on a really cute outfit! We finally ate breakfast (for once)! It's 70 degrees in the Big Apple! We must say though that our hair is laying a little flat today probably because we put a little too much product in it this morning, but whatever!

Even though we're feeling amazing, we're also feeling a bit overwhelmed. We're in the middle of tax time. We had to open up an IRA to defer tax on our income. They want to know if we want our money in CDs or money markets. What the hell does all that mean???

We certainly don't know, but what we do know is that we don't know when life become so complicated. Finances. Familial complications. No time to see friends. We just want to be Toys R Kids! More games. More toys. Oh, BOY!

The above commercial is of rather poor quality, but if you grew up in the 80s, like us, you'll no doubt remember every freaky character in it....especially that little bitch on the train! We never had a train growing up. But we digress....

J'ADORE JOSEPH CAMPBELL!

J'ADORE LETTING THE MUSIC PLAY!

We don't know what's going on, but we were just in the wine shop, and we heard this song in the background just like we heard Mama Cass (see below) at the theater on Saturday night, and we totally J'ADORE it big time!

We must be honest though. We've never seen this video. We didn't get MTV until 1994 or so. Anyway, we have some issues, or as we like to say here at J'Adore Joey, some Je N'Adore Pas:

1. We never knew that Shannon was black! Not that there's anything wrong with that. We just never knew she was! And we like to know EVERYTHING all the time.... (we're Leos).

2. For such a hot song that made us work our hot little 12 year old bodies into a frenzy, this bitch can't dance for shit!

3. The back up dancers... Where do we start? They're all too skinny for the era. They belong in 2007. The moustache on the black guy? The horrible tuxedos? The Devo dance moves? WTF?!?!?

4. The set... Where did they shoot this video? On the side of a Peruvian mountaintop at night during a snowy winter? What's up with the tiered agricultural setting?

WE ARE SOOOOO CONFUSED!

J'ADORE DEEP THOUGHTS BY JOSEPH SHEFTEL!

Last night we were on the phone with our J'Adorable friend, Joseph Sheftel, to whom you were introduced last December after we got back from Art Basel in South Beach. Anyway, we were totally freaking out about something that wasn't yet a problem, and he simply said to us...

"Worry is interest on a loan you might not have to pay back..."

We thought about it and then realized he was right. So we stopped worrying and went to bed to take care of some other things which are too J'Adorably dirty to mention on this site...

J'ADORE FASHION FOULS!

We love us some random historical facts over here at J'Adore Joey, so when we saw Radar Online's feature on Fashion Fouls this morning, we totally J'Adored all over ourselves.

The piece spans the history of the fashion faux pas begining with the ancient Greeks. You have to check it out....especially the photo accompanying the part on Chinese foot binding which totally made us throw up a little in our mouths. Je N'Adore Pas!

J'ADORE FINALLY!

We almost had a J'ADOREVERLOAD this morning when we logged onto Socialite Rank to find that Fabiola Beracasa had finally regained her #1 spot on NY's Social Elite Power Ranking!

Not to say that we don't like the Tinsley, but we're much bigger fans of the Fabiola (for reasons we can't really make public on this site)!

So let's send our J'Adorations over to La Beracasa for reigning supreme once again!

J'ADORE THE MAMAS AND THE PAPAS!

Saturday night we were invited to a fun little downtown musical called The Strip (which we enjoyed, but we don't recommend until they figure out the narrative). Our host for the evening was the J'Adorable maestro of all things event planning, Bronson van Wyck, who we just find BEYOND!

Anyway, after the show, we were backstage, and somewhere in the background, we heard Mama Cass Elliot singing Make Your Own Kind of Music. We J'ADORE that song!!! Needless to say, that one moment set us off on a HUGE Mamas and The Papas spree where we downloaded practically all their music in a matter of hours.

This is just one of their live performances from some TV show back in the 60s. We J'ADORE the peeps in the bathtubs BIG TIME!

J'ADORE LA FLICKER!

We would like for all of you to meet our latest J'ADORATION! Actually, we've been J'Adoring her a while now, but she just recently reminded us how much we J'Adore her, so here she is.....Ms. Sarah Sophie Flicker!!!

We first met this gorgeous ball of J'Adorosity when she made the trek all the way out to Istanbul last October for that fabulous fete we did for Zac Posen for Vakko! Below is a photo of us at Ulus 29, one of Istanbul's hottest little restaurants overlooking the Bosphorus.

Don't mind us, (we know it's hard), but look at La Flicker! J'Adore! Wreath in her hair! Gorgeous silver dress (or is it blue?)! The porcelain skin! Lashes that just SCREAM "Maybe It's Maybelline"!

Anyway, La Flicker is 8 months pregnant with her first baby girl which she has named Arrow! Shot through the heart, she'll be to blame....for sure!

You all can share the J'Adoration by catching La Flicker in The Citizen's Band. We're not sure when the next performance is, and at 8 months pregnant, we're not sure she'll be performing any time soon, but click the above link and check out what La Flicker and her friends are all about! J'ADORE!

J'ADORE DESIGNER BALLS!

Leave it to Karl Lagerfeld to work it out for all those Chelsea queens who think they're butch playing sports and shit. We present to you the CHANEL football, and at only $195, it's totally affordable for all those sweaty man on man touch football games out on Fire Island! J'ADORE!

J'ADORE THE POWER OF THE MIND!

J'ADORE HENRY FORD!

"Whether you think you can or you think you can't,
either way, you are right."

J'ADORE VIKTOR & ROLF!

Not to get totally fashionista on you, but since we were reading the NY Times Style Magazine the other day, we wanted to give props to our boys Viktor & Rolf for this incredibly intriguing shoe. Supposedly inspired by ball room dancing, (how is one supposed to dance in these???), we were most taken by the crystal heel. When we looked to see how much they cost, it said Price Upon Request which means we can't afford them. J'Adore!

J'ADORE DEEP THOUGHTS!

Is a male ladybug still called a ladybug?

J'ADORE MONDINO!

We are totally in love with this photo! Taken by Jean-Baptiste Mondino for the New York Time's Style Magazine, it was the opening for a story entitled The Girl Who Fell To Earth!

J'ADORE RAM BAHADUR BOMJAM!

Okay, Bitches! This shit is what we love to J'Adore. We fell in love with Ram Bahadur Bomjam back in 2005 when we heard this little Nepalese man was chilling under a tree meditating with no food or water for like three months! We didn't understand. Even WE need a beer at least once a week.

Nonetheless, people were hailing him as the reincarnation of Buddha. As you know, Gautama Siddharta, a.k.a. Buddha, who was also born just outside Nepal in the year 500 B.C. meditated for like 9 years without food and water or something under a pipal tree until he gained enlightenment, and then the bitch get up and went to the river to get something to drink!!

Well, not too long ago Bomjam disappeared from his initial outpost cuz it got all crowded with tourists and pilgrims and shit, and he took off to another part of the jungle to meditate. Now, after 9 months of being in solitude, he's disappeared again!

We're thinking he's 17 years old, and his blue balls finally got the best of him and he's most probably shacked up in the brothels of Bombay with our friend Madhu Puri and her pimp, Robert Gerber, who's coincidentally spending "a couple of months" in India at the moment. We all know what he's doing over there.... J'ADORE!

J'ADORE IT'S A SMALL AVON WORLD!

We know we're freaks. That's not something we're trying to hide from you, but when we came across these little gems by Avon produced in the early 1970s while antiquing in Bellport, Long Island, we just absolutely freaked out.

Commissioned by Disneyland through Avon for the It's A Small World gift shop, these bathroom products for little girls were a huge hit! They were only available from 1971 - 1973, and they offered shampoo, conditioner, body cream, soap and perfume in fun internationally themed doll size containers!

We're a little embarassed to tell you that we have a small collection of these J'Adorable dolls lined up on our living room bookshelf!

Stop judging us!!!

J'ADORE BEYSOUR!

At this point in the game, we don't have to tell you that we are Lebanese and that we are in total J'Adoration of this country...the only country in the Middle East without one single stretch of desert! We're mentioning this little tidbit of information because just the other day we learned about a small town in the mountains about 15 minutes outside of Beirut called Beysour (pronounced bay-SOOR). We J'Adored this little town, first, because we had NEVER heard of it, and secondly, because of the spectacular beauty of its tropical greenery, waterfalls and ponds! Who knew something like this existed in the Middle East! We surely didn't, but we're J'Adoring knowing it now! Below more photos of this magical place...

J'ADORE BEING BACK!

J'ADORE! We are so sorry to have been away for so long, but we've been a little bit out of our minds. We've had a lot going on both at work and in our personal lives. Parties in New York. Parties in Los Angeles. Golden Globes. Academy Awards. Butterflies. Radar Magazine's THIRD Launch. It was all making us a bit cross-eyed! In any case, we're here to slap you with some J'Adoration. So sit back and J'Adore before we have to disappear one more time!
