We are SOOOO J'Adoring haboobs this morning! (Probably because they're the only boobs we actually are into!) According to a piece in the Daily Mail today, this massive cloud of dust and sand is billowing over Khartoum, the capital of Sudan in Northeastern Africa!
It turns out that haboobs are a seasonal storm, usually occuring in summer months, caused by downdrafts created when a thunderstorm reaches its final phase of destruction. The drafts cause air to hit the ground and to pick up dirt, sand, dust and small children (kidding) as it barrels forward at 30 mph reaching heights of 3,000 feet! J'ADOOOOOORE!!!
Why are we such science dorks! Give us a haboob over Lindsay Lohan ANY day!
