In 1939, Harry Cohn, Director of Columbia Pictures said, "If you're going to get in trouble, do it at the Chateau Marmont." Well, here I am in Room 10 at the Chateau doing my best to get in trouble, but it's not working. Instead, all I'm doing is working on tomorrow night's event, looking out my window at the gorgeous archways in the courtyard garden....
It's pretty fabulous here. The chicken paillard served over warm lentils and with a frisee salad was gorgeous this afternoon when room service delivered just after 10 minutes of my ordering it. Amy Sacco stopped by to say hello, as did Margherita Missoni. Zac Posen had just left 2 minutes before... What can one say? This is one's life at The Chateau!!
Meanwhile... It's not my life at all. I'm staying in the valley with my parents. It took me 1 hour and 15 minutes to get here because traffic in Laurel Canyon was HORRENDOUS.
I have a sore throat, and I think I'm growing a stye on my eye, and I just want to take a nap, but I can't because the woman I work for and whose room I'm working in just left to go shopping at Neiman Marcus leaving me in charge of any calls that "may" come in! But life could be worse...
