J'ADORE BITTERSWEET!

Every now and then we come across something we've never seen before.....like this Madonna video. It's fairly interesting, but where did it come from?

A lot of the images are from a Steven Meisel photoshoot that was in W during her 'Re-Invention' tour.

As for the song:

'"Bittersweet" is a poem read by Madonna. She gives this contribution to the project of the guru Deepak Chopra. The poems on this CD were written in the 13rd century by a persian poet called Jalaleddin Rumi. Now, some musicians have added music to these beautiful poems, and they made a perfect new age album. The full name of the CD is "A Gift Of Love: Deepak And Friends Present Music Inspired By The Love Poems Of Rumi", and we can find many famous people reading apart from Madonna: Goldie Hawn, Debra Winger, Demi Moore, Noah Hutton... among others. Madonna reads "Bittersweet", the second poem of the second part of the CD (called "Love Drunk" - with the poems "My Burning Heart", "Bittersweet" and "Intoxicated By Love").'
